Speaker # 1 (Leonie van Leeuwen):

Leonie van Leeuwen has been a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Transplant Surgery since May 2022. She conducted her Ph.D. at the department of Surgery at UMCG and Oxford University, focusing on renal transplantation and perfusion, combining that with her tasks as an organ perfusionist. She studied a BSc in Life, Science & Technology followed by a MSc in Medical Pharmaceutical Drug Innovation at the University of Groningen the University.

 

 Speaker # 2 (Daniëlle Luinenburg):

Daniëlle Luinenburg completed her PhD at ERIBA in the lab of Prof. Gerald de Haan. During her Ph.D., she investigated micro-RNAs' role in the self-renewal process of hematopoietic stem cells. After her Ph.D., she started as a Clinical Trial Manager at ICON in Groningen. In this diverse job, she manages and oversees several Phase I clinical trials that are being carried out at ICON.
